Josephine Mboup

A Native of Dakar, Josephine Mboup is a professional actress from ENA, the "National School of Arts" Conservatory of Dakar.
She is a founding member of the Theatre Company the "7kouss." In addition to acting, she is also a technician audiovisual, camerawoman/director. In 2010 she directed her first documentary film, "Insects and Men"". Since 2011 she is a
member of the group Future Media, where she has held various positions including Head of the Production Division of the Group.

Souleymane S. Ndiaye (Julo)
PLAYS IBOU (THE PROFESSOR)
Souleymane Julo first trained with the Baobab Company, in Dakar. He was recognized by director Moussa Toure and acted in his film "La Pirogue," which won several awards across international film festivals. For Italian television he appeared in the series L'isola di Pietro in 2018, in ZeroZeroZero in 2019 and in The Bad Guy in 2021 and 2023. The series was internationally released on Amazon Prime Video in 2022 and received a "Most Innovative Series" award from Ciak d'Oro Serie TV in 2023.

Natalie is an award winning actress who has been acting for the past 30 years. Since 1995, she has performed regularly on the French and international national stages. Her repertoire is wide: from Greek tragedy to Shakespeare, through the French classics and contemporary Caribbean, African, Australian theater.

MOUSSA THIAM
WRITER, DIRECTOR, PRODUCER
Hailing from Senegal, Moussa Thiam grew up immersed in the world of cinema as the son of Momar Thiam, a pioneer of African filmmaking. Starting as a coffee boy on sets during high school, he gained hands-on experience through years of apprenticeship.
He later studied at Parsons in New York before establishing himself as a producer with Piaule Films Senegal, working on TV series, films, and music videos. In 2016, Piaule Films USA evolved into MST ARTS ENTERTAINMENT, where Moussa is now developing and producing exciting new projects, including a documentary on Aline Sitoe Diatta, Senegal's "Jeanne d'Arc", an iconic civil rights activist.

Moussa Touré
PRODUCER
Moussa Touré, born in 1958 in Dakar, is one of Senegal's leading filmmakers. He debuted as a director in 1987 and earned critical acclaim with his 1991 feature "Toubab Bi", which won multiple awards.
As founder of Les Films du Crocodile, he has directed a dozen films across genres, including notable documentaries. In addition to directing, Moussa has worked as an actor and technician, starring in several films. He founded the "Moussa Invites" festival in Rufisque to showcase African documentaries by African filmmakers and served as President of the Documentary Films jury at the Cannes Film Festival in 2023.

Her success has lead her to work with many international fashion and beauty brands to receive awards, including Best African Fashion Designer at the African Fashion Awards.

Director of the Douta SECK House of Culture, Senegalese Ministry of Culture, Dakar
Aby Faye has dedicated her career to developing and nurturing the arts and culture of Senegal. After several successful regional culture institute postings, she is now leading the Douta SECK House of Culture, the leading cultural institute of Senegal, a center for visual arts exhibitions, dance and theater performances, festivals and cultural meetings.
In 2020 Faye was honored with the prestigious Chevalier de l'Ordre National du Mérite (Knight of the National Order of Merit).

GOETZ GROSSMANN
PRODUCER
Early in his career, Goetz acquired extensive hands-on film production experience by assistant-directing movies, music videos, and commercials, as well as directing a feature film.
After graduating from Columbia Business School, Goetz advised leading independent production companies on film financing. Next, Goetz helped to build film and TV distribution company FilmRise into the highly profitable streaming powerhouse that it is today. While CFO at FilmRise, Goetz executive produced two commercially successful TV series going into their third and fifth seasons, respectively.
